The Victory Angels were originally conceived to honor those who served in the Allied Forces during World War I - the Great War for Civilization. Since their creation and commission over 100 years ago, their universal archetypes have transcended many cultures and religions to bring comfort and meaning to those who are drawn to their grace and beauty. The Victory Angel medallions that inspire my designs are sourced from collectors worldwide, each one representing the life and heroic deeds of the soldier who earned the medal fighting for World Peace. Once in hand, they are meticulously rebirthed by New England silversmiths using the lost wax casting method.

Wishing you Safe Travels on your journey this weekend, whether it be around the block, in a good book or on a totally new path in life. I am so grateful you welcome Whispering Goddess designs to journey with you! This was a fun week because I spoke with many of you about the happenings in your lives, while helping you find the perfect compliment from the collections to fulfill a special purpose. Some noteable hightlights from this past week, we jetted Saint Christopher, Nike and Joan of Arc off to collectors in Atlanta, San Francisco and Toronto, with other heavenly helpers flying to numerous small towns and communities in between.
Bless you all and thank you for allowing me to be part of your sacred path and the
special journeys of your loved ones.
Love & Light,
Ginny
Saint Christopher
Saint of Safe Travels
It is said wearing a Saint Christopher Medal enhances the protection of these two heavenly helpers on our life path. The medal is a reminder to Be Still and Listen especially when the next steps of life's journey are unsure. On the reverse side is Saint Anthony, Patron Saint of All Lost Things so the traveler can safely find their way back home.
In ancient Greece, Nike was a winged Goddess, these attributes allowed her to mediate and deliver messages between the Gods and Humankind. This Nike medal is made of sold .925 Sterling Silver from an original Greek Victory medal given to Greek Soldiers who served in WW1. It's spectacular with our Silver Freshwater "Moonglow" Pearls.

Join us in Helping Houston - Miracles Needed!
When so many are suffering it's hard to go about business as usual. So, we will be donating 10% of your purchase to Help Houston. At checkout, the option to choose a humanitarian agency of your choice will be available. We vetted the agencies and looked for those who have direct client contact and "boots on the ground". We also consulted with our Houstonian clients, as they are right there and know who is most in need. You can select the one that most aligns with your personal values, but if you have a cause we should consider please let us know as this list will evolve as the needs change. The cost to you is no extra at checkout, but it does allow you to Help Houston. The agencies we have selected focus on helping homeless and displaced youth through Covenant House Texas, animal rescue through Austin Animals Alive, as well as the larger agencies such as Greater Houston Charitable Foundation, Red Cross & Catholic Charities.

On, August 22, 2011 a man walked into my Wellfleet shop accompanied by his beautiful wife and daughter. After a cordial greeting he asked, "Do you sell Rosaries here"? "Not really" was my reply, "but I carry this mysteriously cool jewelry called Virgins, Saints & Angels". I told him about VSA Designs and how Finn's love for Our Lady of Guadalupe is the inspiration for her work. I marveled at how the jewelry had taken on a life of its own in my business, quickly morphing us from a saddle shop to an artisan boutique carrying sacred art, jewelry and clothing.
On the wall behind me, they quickly identified an image of Joan of Arc hanging above the cash register. Giggling like kids on a scavenger hunt, his wife Perdita Finn, explained she had just picked up a used biography of Joan of Arc moments before. We laughed at the synchronicity and at Joan's playfulness in our lives. I explained that Joan was one of my patron Saints. Her image hung in the shop so I'd never forget she always has my back, while reminding me that if a peasant girl could lead an army on horseback to save France, there is nothing that can't be done when the Universe wills it. A fast and soulful friendship formed between us. It was the kind of bond you make with strangers that you realize you may never see again, all the while knowing you will be forever touched and changed by the encounter. I don't think we even properly exchanged names that night - we didn't need them, our recognition of each other was ancient, old and deep, names were merely a distraction.
What impacted me most about the moment we shared was the air of greatness I felt in this man's presence. I couldn't quite describe it, I just knew it was unlike anything I had felt before. I'm not one to be impressed by pedigree or social status, what I felt around him was deeper than anything assigned by man. I was struck and curious - who was this man really? Two days later I would find out, when I came in to work a late shift and found Clark Strand waiting for me. Just what was this mystical allure about him? Slowly over time it has been revealed, as I have been escorted on an unexpected and delightful pilgrimage that will forever change my life. It is a spiritual journey that you can discover and follow for yourself in his new book Waking Up in the Dark - Ancient Wisdom for a Sleepless Age. The book is available now as a pre-order and goes on sale April 28, 2015. You can order it on our website where we are offering a free pair of Rosary beads with every purchase.
Encounters similar to this have become increasingly commonplace at my shop. We seem to attract spiritual seekers. So, this Summer, Whispering Cowgirl has joined with Wellfleet Preservation Hall to bring a series of spiritual teachers, authors and seers to Wellfleet. These extraordinary souls have come into my life as a result of meeting Clark and Perdita that Summer and by a magnetic pull that seems to call like minded individuals to us. Our first guest speaker is Clark Strand, who will be at Wellfleet Preservation Hall (the former Our Lady of Lourdes Church) in Wellfleet Center on May 14, 2015. The Strand event is followed by a free Non-Denominational Rosary Retreat from May 15 - 17, 2015 also in Wellfleet, MA. To buy tickets to the event (all proceeds are donated back to Wellfleet Preservation Hall) please visit the Wellfleet Preservation Hall website. If you are curious about the Rosary retreat, just email or call me at 508.214.0158.

After three amazing years serving our clients in the community of Provincetown, MA, we are excited to announce Whispering Cowgirl Artisan Boutique will be moving back home to Wellfleet, MA where we started in 2010!
We love Provincetown and have garnered a great deal of success and recognition as one of the finest women's clothing and accessories boutiques in the region while there - thanks to you our loyal customers! However, as our business continues to expand, this location change is the next step to support our rapidly growing following both in-store and online. Our new location at 6 Main Street brings us closer to our clients in the Mid-Cape and Upper Cape while being centrally and conveniently located for those of us living on the Lower Cape.
Our new home places us at the portal to Wellfleet's boutique and gallery district. If you are headed to Provincetown, you no longer need to make the additional leg of the long trek there to shop our wonderful artists and designers because you pass by our front door on the way! As the first stop on the way to Wellfleet Center, we are excited to have the honor of welcoming all visitors into our quaint little village.
Lastly, this cowgirl is happy to announce she picks up 30 - 40 hours per month just in commute time - that equates to 10 or more 3-4 hour horseback rides! Yahoo....need I say more!?! xoxox
