Saint George is the Patron Saint of Horsemen, Knights and All Who Call on him for protection. This fabulous medal is a reproduction of a vintage 1918 Italian Cavalry medal Hanging from a 8mm round decorative links, the iconic imagery shows St. George on horseback, thrusting his lance at a dragon.
The reverse side shows a Phoenix It represents transformation, death, and rebirth in its fire. The phoenix is a symbol of strength and renewal. As both a fire and solar symbol, the phoenix animal guide is symbolic of the sun, which “dies” in setting each night only to be reborn in rising the next morning.
