Sterling Silver Cristo Rey Rosary Necklace with Guadalupe & Saint Michael Amethyst & Chrysoprase

| /

Now available in Sterling Silver, the Christo Rey in Amethyst is a rosary inspired necklace made with five decades and illumination beads of labradorite  and crysoprase for special intentions to mark the Padre Beads.    A double sided holy medal features Saint Michael the Archangel  and Our Lady of Guadalupe made in Sterling Silver.  The original medal dates back to 1682 when it was cast as a token of gratitude to be given to the generous patrons who helped build the "Templo Expiatorio a Cristo Rey" - the early basilcia in Mexico City created to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe.  It was started in 1680 and completed in 1709.   A cascade of tear shaped Swarovski crystals surround the images of Guadalupe and Saint Michael to represent their ever present love and protection as they carry us through life's joys and sorrows.

We acquired one of these original medals from a monk who held it in his collection for generations, it was passed on to him by another holy man.  It is a symbol of the divine protection of the Virgen de Guadalupe and Saint Michael.  The combined power of the two is palpable.    It can be custom made in any of our gemstones, just ask us!    To double it order the 40" strand, which we will make as a Seven Decade Rosary with a toggle clasp.  40" sounds long but its really not - we can adjust the length for you after you purchase too if you feel you want it longer or shorter.

It is absolutely beautiful all by itself or layered with our other designs.

On the front of the medal:

"The Virgin of Guadalupe gave this image as  proof of her apparition on December 12th, 1531. The virgin impressed her image on a cloth woven from maguey fiber that cloaked the mystic, clairvoyant Aztec Indian, Juan Diego   Infinite are the favors granted by the  Virgin of Guadalupe. Catholic or not, millions take refuge under her comforting starry mantle. She is our Guadalupe. mother of all."

On the back of the medal:

Saint Michael is known and respected in many of the World Religions including Judaism, Christianity and Islam.   He protects us from evil and many miracles have been attributed to him over the ages. He is leads the Angelic realm and is often depicted slaying the dragon who symbolizes evil.  Michael is the patron saint of police officers, soldiers and doctors. By invoking his help he has been known to miraculously prevent accidents and his assistance in the search of Truth is always at hand to those who call on him.
