October15th was the Feast of Saint Teresa of Avila, the Spanish Mystic and Activist. She wrote many spiritual masterpieces detailing her life and the multiple visitations she received over her lifetime. One of her most famous books, Interior Castle, describes the Soul's journey as we progress spiritually. Teresa was devoted to Our Lady of Mount Carmel and was also very close with Saint John of the Cross, who wrote the spiritual classic Dark Night of the Soul.
