Today, September 8th is the Nativity of Mary.
In honor of Our Lady's birthday, I'm introducing the release of a new medal with the Madonna and Saint Michael. The images on the medal may seem familiar to you, the Madonna is the same as on the Virgo Rising medallion and the Saint Michael is the same capture as on the Cristo Rey Medallion. It's cast from an 18th century antique medal from the Monk's Collection.

"Morning Star"
I love this little lithograph of Mary, it's called Stella Matutina or Morning Star. It's vintage and hangs in my home. The original was painted in 1935 by Mother Nealis of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart. It's the perfect Happy Birthday Mary card!

This beautiful Holy Medal is cast from the original 18th century medal featuring the Madonna on one side and Saint Michael on the other. Saint Anne is the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Christ. She is shown here with Mary on her lap while she teaches her and passes on the Wisdom and Ways of Knowing that flows through the family matriarchs. Saint Anne is patroness of unmarried women, housewives, women in labor or who want to be pregnant, grandmothers, mothers and educators. She is also a patroness of horseback riders, cabinet-makers miners and sailors.
