St Patrick was born in Britain around 380. As a teenager he was kidnapped by pirates and sold into slavery in Ireland where his owner put him to work tending the sheep. It was a lonely job, and Patrick turned to God to during this time and developed a strong faith. He escaped his master and caught a ship back to Britain where he became a priest. After becoming a bishop he volunteered to return to Ireland to teach the people there about Christianity since he spoke their language and knew their customs. He is credited with many miracles. During the 33 years he was there, he converted the entire country.
This medal shows St Patrick with his arm raised in blessing. It was cast from a vintage medal in my collection so it shows all the wear of the original piece. It's been tumbled for durability and oxidized to give it an aged patina. It is made of sterling silver and will come with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, so it's ready to give as a present to someone else or yourself.
Size: A little under 3/4 inch
Material: Sterling silver. Chain is also sterling silver. Comes with 18" delicate chain.
