"Sainte Vierge" means Blessed Virgin and the Heart and Dagger represents the Joy of Loving with a wide open heart and the pain that often accompanies it. It also references the Parisian Saint Vincent de Paul as helper and agent of the poor, that we may live with humble and charitable hearts.
On the reverse side is the Immaculate Conception and the prayerful invocation of our Lady's protection. This medal is recast from the vintage original in Sterling Silver. It is French in origin. The Sterling Silver mark .925 is found on the edge of the medal, just below Her feet. Made in the USA in our sweet studio sanctuary in Wellfleet, MA. Medals are recast for us by artisans based in New England.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Approx. 1.25" round on Silver Oxidized wrapped chain. Medal origin is France.
