French Kande Safe Travels Necklace

French Kande

French Kande's Safe Travels Necklace features three strands of Black Jasper with a St. Christopher (Patron Saint of Travel), 100 Anniversary Lourdes Cross & Infant of Prague Crown. The Lourdes Cross is a four way cross with a Miraculous Medal on the bottom arm, St. Joseph is carrying the Christ child on the left and St. Christopher on the right.  The image of the Sacred Heart of Christ sits at the top of the medal. The back of the medal commemorates the year 1958 as the 100th anniversary of Our Lady's apparition at Lourdes, France. St. Christopher is the Patron of Travelers, and this medal represents him carrying the Christ child across a deep river.

St. Christopher was a big man, some say a giant but he struggled to carry the Child and when he asked the Child why He told Christopher it was because He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders.   When you wear a St. Christopher medal, it is said you carry Christ too. When you pair St. Christopher with Our Lady of Lourdes there is no harm that can touch you. It is absolutely beautiful all by itself or layered with our other designs. Inspired by a trip to Paris, designer Kande Hall mixes past and present to create inspirational jewelry inspired by French Medallions. Each piece of French Kande is handmade in Los Angeles by Californian artisans.
